WHO IS WENDELL
ROBINSON?
The creator and
lead principal of
WendellRobinson.com,
Wendell Robinson is a Cleveland, Ohio based public affairs and media
consultant. An accomplished writer, photographer and public
speaker, Wendell possesses a well-rounded background in sales,
marketing, management, internet development and public relations.
After
spending 12 years working in the sales and operations management
fields, Wendell chose to invest his passion for issues and causes by
devoting his professional energies to political and community
affairs. He began this track in 2000 as the Campaign Manager for
the highly-contested Issue 283 in Westlake, Ohio which served as the
ballot initiative legislation necessary for the creation of Crocker
Park, the Midwest's most successful and accomplished lifestyle
center. Since that time, he has served in consultative and
management roles with the YMCA, the Ohio Close the Gap Campaign, the
Cleveland Green Building Coalition, the Committee for Cuyahoga
County’s Future, Cleveland2005 as well as serving as a strategist
and advisor to numerous candidates and campaigns. In 2006, Wendell
served as the Republican candidate for Cuyahoga County Commissioner
and was characterized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as "having a
sharp mind and boundless pluck."
Wendell has deep roots
in the Greater Cleveland community where he has served as a Board
Member with the Ohio City Near West Development Corporation and as a
member of Cuyahoga County’s Blue Ribbon Economic Development Task
Force. He also provides his services as the Board Secretary with
the Marymount Child Care Center and as a principal in the
advertising and marketing firm #1 Media where he oversees the
organization's political consulting activities.
Wendell is a Cleveland
native and a long-time resident of Cleveland’s Ohio City
neighborhood where he lives with his wife Kathy and their daughter
Paige. He was born in Cuyahoga County and raised in the county’s
eastern suburbs. A graduate of Chagrin Falls High School, Wendell
went on to attend Ohio State University and graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Cleveland State University.
